BUILDING PROJECT / BRIEF

Interior
Other than redecoration and cleaning of monuments little will happen to the external walls, no abutments, new large openings are intended.  All mechanical services will be ducted beneath the heated floor, making allowances for any future technology.

Exterior Fabric Repair
Some of the statuary on the tower has decayed; Phase III of our building project hopes to replace these, together with the fenestration and masonry to many of the windows.
Other external repairs scheduled within the quinquennial are in hand.

Landscape
The grassed churchyard is presently maintained by Totnes Town Council, and is a rather featureless and underused green space in the town.
Our proposals include the identification of early archaeology, if revealed by the Ground Penetrating Radar, and use any findings as a theme for the design. Improvements to the paths, especially the Church entrance from High Street, will further enhance the church.
Soft landscaping may include low level planting – a maize or parterre - and seating.

Business Plan
A business plan has been prepared indicating budget costs, scaled drawings of the Church plan and some interior elevations.
This document will support any appeals for funding.
A time chart indicates our preliminary research, design brief, consultations and build programme, with a desired completion for Easter 2010.
