THE FRIENDS OF ST MARY’S, TOTNES

Voces, the locally renowned Renaissance music choir, sang a concert on Saturday 8 May at 7.30 pm. , entitled "O For the Wings of a Dove". This was a wide-ranging and delightful concert featuring full choir, small choir and organ works. The audience was very generous of their praise and donations, raising over £700 for funds.

Our shop is now open.

Greetings cards, postcards and notebooks with images of the church, together with preserves, knitwear, ceramics, music CDs. soap and other gift ideas. Please browse and put money into the wall-safe beside the church door.

Our Objects state :-

The Friends of St Mary's, Totnes, is established to support the maintenance, repair, preservation, beautification and improvement of the fabric of the Church and the monuments, fixtures, fittings, furniture, stained glass, ornaments and other chattels belonging to the Church.

To further any charitable purpose under the law of England and Wales as the trustees shall determine.

At the AGM the following trustees were elected;-Tony Gregg, Jean and Donald Halstead, David Hales, Colin Hair, Roger Hawkins, Penny Johnson, Phillip Potter, Ben Prance.

An Extraordinary General Meeting was held on 22 May 2010 to elect new officers, following the recent resignation of our chair Roger Hawkins. The following officers have now been duly elected: Colin Hair (chair), Tony Gregg (treasurer), Penny Johnson (secretary/membership secretary).
